There must be some way out of here...

Man, time is moving way too fast. My parents will be officially living down at the coast next week, and i'll be up comparatively alone. Quite a bit has been going on recently. Last night i had my eagle awards ceremony, and that was really nice. Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Polanski came, which was very nice, and a bunch of other people. Lots of people said really nice things about me, which is always nice and a little awkward. Good refreshments, and the Eagle medal is really cool. So that was good, eventually there will be pictures, but i think my dad took the camera with him back to the coast. Right after the eagle ceremony (Which was at my church) i had a good interview with President James. This morning while cleaning my room, i shoved a For the Strength of Youth packet into my wallet (which is now big enough to hold it), and i realized that i'm only going to be a youth for another couple weeks.

Saturday i had work all day, but in between i went swimming and ate lunch, so it felt like a pretty cool day. Also a whole mess of people got yelled at, and i wasn't among them, so that made me feel good for some reason. Then i got off work early, which made me feel good for a very understandable reason.

Friday was a pretty action packed day, i had to tear apart my room to decide whether to keep or give away all my stuff for the yard sale saturday morning. Then i went to oceans 13, which was a good movie, but not a great one. I actually liked 12 more, just because it was a little more twisty, while this one was almost completely straight forward. Neither of them are anywhere near as good as the first, which is too bad. It's really the stories that are lacking, the sequals just don't have the best plots.

After the movie i spent some more time making my room really messy, and then i went to a little mini prom thing theresa was having at her church. That was pretty fun, very much a church dance, but i met some cool people, and slow danced, and had fondue.

I left early from that and went to spencer's party, which was also fun, and i played games, and video games, and ate some food, and some cake, and realized i ought to have bought i birthday present, but hadn't. So now that's on my list of things to do, along with a few other presents.

The rest of last week i've been working and hanging out, if i remember correctly. I think that's about all that's been going on.

Pergatory

That was, quite possibly, the most nervous i've been about anything in a long time. But as of last night i am nearly officially an eagle (some paper work has to go through dallas, but for all purposes, i have it, i even got to use the secret handshake). That was kinda scary, that whole unsurety about being an eagle. I think my Eagle scout is worth 45 dollar pants...we still might bring those back though.

Otherwise yesterday was pretty nice. I'm really happy. Wooo!

Last night i drove by mcnally's to pick up my cell phone and go shopping, at some point in there i lost my wallet, so i didn't go shoppping, but we (caitlin and he and i...that sounds pedantic) came home (my wallet turned out to be in the car) and watched LOST (which was crazy and awesome) and then i dropped caitlin off and went shopping and then dropped michael and made it home around 1 and fell asleep in my contacts and my pants.

because of that, today i accidentally skipped school, and didn't wake up till Ian came to borrow the frisbee, i went with him for ultimate, where we played the best 3 on 3 game imaginable. i didn't know 3 on 3 could possibly be good. Tonight Sal and Mookie's opens for reals so that's going to be crazy, i'm kinda worried, but it should be an adventure and some good tips.

Starting with a bang, and then some

I'm now done with my first real day of work at Sal and Mookie's New York Pizza and Ice Cream Joint. It was hard. I was a server assistant, which meant i bussed, i pre-bussed, i brought in dishes from the back, i walked around a lot. I think there was about 1 moment of non hectic moving around. But that's ok, i like busy jobs, it goes fast. After i clocked out i stayed to help caitlin close up, which basically meant sal and mookie's got a free hours work out of me, but that's ok, it wasn't hard, and i got a good ice cream cone. Tomorrow i work on Togo, which, considering we're not doing to-go orders until friday, should be pretty relaxed. It'll be a nice break. My feet are sore.

In other news, i got the stipend from the U, which means college will be relatively free. I sent in my national merit stuff, so we'll see what happens there, and i have work study for 5000, and i may have a job up there in addition to that. So it's possible that i'll come out ahead in all this. I doubt it though.

I'm not going to school tomorrow, little freshman's or sophomores have testing, so i would be in the gym all day, and that's not cool. I wonder where the word sophomores comes from, it really doesn't make any sense. it's probably latin or something.

My Eagle Board of Review is thursday, i'm sort of nervous, if i don't get my Eagle i'll feel pretty thoroughly like a failure. So we'll see how that goes, i'm hopeful. Suddenly there's an annoying dog barking at something outside my house.

It's the littlest things that make my day nice.
